Mechalia is only mentioned three times in Jasher, and she is a half-2nd cousin (once
removed) to Benjamin, in which she married when he was ten years old. (1)
After she married Benjamin, she bore him five sons.
She is no longer mentioned after this although she did go into Egypt with Benjamin
and live out her life there.

His name in Hebrew is: אשבל `Ashbêl (ash-bale’) Strong’s #: 788; flowing.
Mentioned in Gen. 46:21 and Jash. 45:22.
Not much is known of Ashbel although it is apparent that he became a slave in Egypt
after the death of his father and uncles.
I Chron. 7:6 mentions that Benjamin had three sons, but mentions the third son as
Jadiael. It is not known if Jadiael and Ashbel could be the same person.
In I Chron. 8:1 we are told that Aharah was the third son of Benjamin meaning that
Ashbel and Aharah may be the same person as well.

His name in Hebrew is: גרא Gêrâ’ (gay-raw’) Strongs #: 1617; a grain.
Not much is known of Gera although it is apparent that he became a slave in Egypt.
In I Chron. 8:3 it shows that Gera is the son of Bela, although Gen. 46:21 and Jash.
45:22 say that they are brothers.
