Notes for Yahvah:

“I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending,” saith Yahvah which is, which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. (1)

His Name in Hebrew is: יהוה Yehôvâh (yeh-ho-vaw’) Strongs #3068, the self-Existent.  In Greek: κύριος kuriŏs (koo’-ree-os) Strongs #2962, supreme, controller.

Many call Yahvah by a title or an incorrect name.  The Name Yahvah might be closest to being correct, but He is also known as Yahweh, YHWH, YHVH, and Elohim.  To others, He is called God, the Lord, or the incorrect name of Jehovah.

According to scripture, Yahvah was never born, and He will never die.  He just is.  He is also the Creator, in which He formed the light, darkness, stars, galaxies, Earth, Sun, Moon, planets, land, water, air, animals and plants.  However, on His sixth day of creating living things, He created His son Adam, so that he could take care of His garden.  Yahvah also created Adam’s wife using one of Adam’s ribs.  It may be said that Eve (who was named by Adam after the fall) may be a daughter of Yahvah.

Yahvah also created the Sabbath day in which He rested from all His work.

Yahvah had to thrust out His children from the Garden of Eden (in which He created), after they sinned by eating the forbidden fruit.

There are many things that Yahvah intervened in that would be difficult to recite, but Yahvah saw the wickedness of men so he covered the whole Earth with water, which is known as the Great Deluge or The Flood.  However, after The Flood, man sinned again a few hundred years later by building himself a tower in the land of Shinar.  Yahvah mixed up their language, destroyed the tower and dispersed the people.

Yahvah befriended Abraham, and told him that he would make his seed as abundant as the sand on the seashore, then blessed him with a son in his old age.

Yahvah’s descendants (known as the Hebrews or the Israelites) became slaves in the service of the king of Egypt.  Yahvah wanted His children to inhabit the land of Canaan for an inheritance.  He sent His servant Moses to Egypt and took the Children of Israel out of Egypt.  At Mt. Sinai (which is known as Jabel al Lawz in Saudi Arabia) Yahvah married the people of Israel by giving the Law through Moses.

Yahvah did many things for His children and the greatest thing of all is when he sent His Son, Yahshua to Earth to die for the sins of His children.  That shows how much He loves us.

Even in modern times, Yahvah still shows His interventions in the lives of many.
